1 Applicable Terms and Conditions

2 Definitions
"You" means you, the user of the website, and "your" shall be interpreted accordingly.
"We/us" means ACPIN (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology) and includes officers, Board members and staff of ACPIN and "our" shall be interpreted accordingly.
"Users" means the users of the website collectively and/or individually as the context admits.
"Online Community" means any network, forum or microsite for participating users who have registered or otherwise qualify to participate in accordance with website protocols from time to time in force.
"Content" means any and all the content submitted or uploaded to the website by you and other users, including names, images, pictures, photographs, video clips, biographical information, text, logos, marks and any other information and materials.
"Microsite" means a sub-domain website maintained independently to us but which can be accessed through the website and its search engine.
"Moderator" means a moderator, with responsibility for and authority over the management of one or more online communities or microsites, including any content areas. Moderators may include our staff and/or independent third parties.
3 Use of the website
You agree that any use by you of the website shall be in accordance with the following conditions:
3.1 You will not to use the website:
- for purposes that would be deemed illegal under English Law;
- to upload, post, publish, transmit, reproduce any

Content posted on related online communities is written by users and we are not responsible and do not endorse such content. Contributions may be monitored. No failure to remove any content constitutes an acceptance or endorsement of it by us or the moderators.
5.2 We cannot guarantee the integrity, quality or accuracy of the content and it must be treated only as an aide in any decision-making process. Neither we, nor any contributors to the website will be held responsible or liable for content, accuracy, timing or reliability of content or statements contained on the website, including content, statements, opinions or advice made or given by users in the online communities. 6 Target Audience
Whilst ACPIN actively encourages members to join from Europe and worldwide, we cannot guarantee that the website or the information that it contains complies with or is appropriate for use in other countries.
7 Maintaining the website
7.1 We aim to update the website regularly and maintain the website in operational condition. However, neither we nor any moderators can guarantee that this will always be the case. Any content may be out of date at any given time and neither we nor the moderators are under any obligation to update such content.
7.2 We reserve the right at any time or from time to time or modify, suspend or discontinue the website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you.
8 Personal Information and Privacy
8.1 We will respect your personal information and undertake to comply with The Data Protection Act 1998. We will not allow advertisers or members to send unsolicited commercial emails. If you receive any such email please email us at membership-support@acpin.net with the details.
8.3 The information (including any sensitive personal information) you submit will be stored on computer. You consent to us and external moderators using the information that you submit to enable us and external moderators to operate the website.

This website may contain links to other websites or resources ("External Sites"). Neither we nor the moderators shall be responsible or liable for the availability of the External Sites or any content, advertising, products or other materials located on or through any External Site. Links provided to External Sites do not represent endorsements of any information, products or services on such sites, and no information on such sites has been approved or endorsed by us or the moderators. Under no circumstances shall we or the moderators be responsible or liable for any loss or damages caused or alleged to have been caused by use of or reliance on any content, goods, or services available on such External Sites. Any concerns that you may have regarding any External Sites should be directed to its respective site administrator or webmaster.

You agree to indemnify us and all moderators and the Service Provider from and against any loss, claim, demand, cost and expense arising from or in connection with any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of the website (including any online communities).
13 Termination
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your use of the website or any online community if you breach or we have reasonable grounds to believe that you are likely to breach these Terms and Conditions or you otherwise engage in conduct which we determine in our sole discretion to be unacceptable.

15 Registered users and contributing content to the website
This Condition applies to users who have registered and have access to contribute content to the website.
15.1 Registration Process
To register to the website you need to provide a verifiable email address, choose a display name, complete the required fields on the registration form and read and accept these Terms and Conditions, including our privacy policy.
15.2 Display Names and Passwords
By registering, you promise to keep your password secret and not to disclose or share it with anyone. If you believe that someone else may have access to or know your password you must log in to the site as soon as possible and reset your password.
15.6 Your Personal Information
Posting personal information on the website means your information is publicly accessible. We strongly recommend that you avoid disclosing personal information that you do not want to be in the public domain [(e.g. personal email address, home postal address, home telephone number)]. ACPIN will not post your personal information in the public domain.
15.7 Access to the online communities
You are responsible for obtaining the equipment and for meeting any other costs associated with your access to and use of the website including online communities. you are responsible for making your own back-up arrangements of any important data that you place on the website. We maintain back-up facilities for data on the website, but do not guarantee that these facilities are fail safe.
15.8 Private networks
An online community may be either public or private. Access to private online communities is restricted and admission will be subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria as determined by the online community moderators.
15.9 No resale of online community services
You agree not to resell, reproduce, sell or exploit, for any commercial purposes, the Service or any portion thereof or use of or access to the online communities without our prior written consent.
15.10 Storage and resources
Neither we nor any external moderators shall be responsible or liable for the deletion, miscommunication or the failure to store any content contributed by a registered user to the website. We may establish limitations on the amount of memory, disk space, bandwidth or any other resource available on the online communities.
16 Fees
We reserve the right at any time to charge fees for the use of the whole or any part of the website that is currently provided to you at no cost.
17 General
If you breach these Terms and Conditions we reserve the right to remove your access to the site and to ACPIN email services for a period that is deemed appropriate to the breach and taking into account any previous breaches of the Terms and Conditions.
If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions and the use by you of the website are governed by English law. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for the purpose of any disputes between us that relate to these Terms and Conditions.
TERMS OF SALE
ACPIN will abide by the terms of sales as described by the HMRC, as summarised below. Upon agreement to the purchase of membership or other goods or services from ACPIN, ACPIN will provide:
- its full business name, contact details and address
- a description of your goods or services
- the price, including all taxes
- how you can pay
- delivery arrangements, costs and how long goods will take to arrive
- the minimum length of contracted billing period
- conditions for ending contracts
- how customers/members can cancel and when they lose the right to cancel
- whether you will still need to pay reasonable costs for using a service after you cancel
- a standard cancellation form, if you can cancel
- conditions for money given as a deposit or financial guarantees
- what digital content does (for example, the language it’s in or how to update software)
- the cost of using phone lines or other communication to complete the contract where it will cost more than the basic rate
Methods of payment
ACPIN accepts major debit and credit cards. If members wish, they may set up a direct debit which will automatically collect the annual membership fee (prices as advertised) from their nominated bank account. It is the member’s responsibility to cancel their direct debit if they decide that they no longer wish to be a member of ACPIN.
Once your Registration is placed
You will receive a confirmation of your membership by email to the email address you have provided ACPIN when you registered.
ACPIN will activate your membership within a maximum period of 30 days or sooner, if agreed with the member.
Upon activation of membership, the member will have access to the ‘members only’ secure area of our website which includes access to our online journal, information and learning resources.
Membership renewal
Your membership will be automatically renewed on a 12 monthly basis. If you do not wish to renew your membership, you must notify us within 14 days of the renewal date. If no such notification is received, we will automatically renew your membership and you will continue to enjoy the benefits of being an ACPIN member.
Right to cancel
The member has a right to cancel their registration for membership up to 14 days after the date they applied. Members do not need to provide a reason for cancelling.
If you do not inform ACPIN of your wish to cancel within the 14 day period, then cancellation will not normally be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances which must be notified in full to the membership support administrator (membership-support@acpin.net). Each case will be assessed on its own merits.
