Rehabilitation of Sit to Stand and Gait following Stroke

Through a mixture of theory and practical application, this course will cover:
Practice conditions required to facilitate motor learning following stroke
Basic principles of biomechanics, including analysis using a kinematic and kinetic approach
Common impairments and how to identify them
Use of targeted and evidence based interventions, including the principles of structuring practice
The course is open to PT and OT’s working in stroke and neurological rehabilitation. The course is delivered using a mixture of theory based learning and practical application, including movement analysis using iPads, patient videos and patient workshops.
£255 ACPIN members £300 non-members
NB: Applicants will need to apply for an Honorary contract via Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Places will be reserved once payment or proof of funding for payment is received.
