Outpatient Techniques in Neurology: Evidence Based Treatment of the Shoulder
This course provides neurological physiotherapists the opportunity to combine neurological and musculoskeletal approaches in the treatment and management of shoulder dysfunction. With an emphasis on evidence based practice in both fields to establish optimal treatment programs and develop handling skills.
Speakers:
Helen Lindfield (Bobath Tutor)
Since qualifying in 1989 the focus of Helen’s Physiotherapy has been in neurological rehabilitation and education. Her current post as professional lead at the Wolfson Rehabilitation Unit has allowed her to develop clinical and educational skills. As a part time lecturer at Birmingham University she has developed teaching and learning skills both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Laura Finucane (Consultant MSK Physiotherapist)
In 2002 she completed her Master’s degree in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy and became a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). She presented at WCPT 2017 on aspects related to the Advanced Practice Physiotherapist. She is vice-president of the International Federation of Orthopaedic manipulative physical therapists.
