Supporting your patients to remain active for up to 6 hours a day – why is engagement and adherence to self-supported practice so hard?
London ACPIN would like to invite you to their course aimed at supporting your patients to remain active. This event is online.
Are you being challenged to meet section 4.2 ‘Rehabilitation approach – intensity of therapy’ in the
National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke?
Do you struggle to help your patients engage in, and adhere to, self-supported practice – either in hospital or at home?
This study morning will explore these challenges by thinking about your patients as novice learners who
are having to learn and practise because of need rather than choice. We will explore how people in the
early-middle stages post stroke make sense of their recovery and the role of rehabilitation in this, and
what this means to both how they feel and how they act – or fail to act.
Suitable for any member of the MDT who has an interest in self-supported practice – whether with
people post stroke or any other neurological condition.
Speaker: Sally Davenport
ACPIN members remember to log in first to get the discount. Please note this will not be recorded.
